The following 7th and 8th grade students qualified for the John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth Search based on the outstanding scores on eligible segments of their Stanford Achievement Tests from 6th and 7th grade respectively.
29% of our 7th grade class qualified and 27% of our 8th grade class qualified. Congratulations to these talented students!

Heritage Christian School 1st -6th grade students participated in the ACSI District Level Speech Meet in Salem, Oregon, and faired very well. 36 Heritage students competed with over 300 students from 11 different Oregon ACSI Member Schools. In order to attend the District Meet, Heritage Christian School students had to win the top honor in their school.
The following students brought home a first place ribbon at the District Meet: Isak Anderson, Kyle Berquist, Jacob Hawley, Renee Crick, Heather Kurle, Spencer Barter, Clair VanDerEems, Ilena Levitt, Makayla Rainsberger, Hayden Pfaff, Jeremy Braun, Jacob Sturtevant, Skylar Smith and Ryan Pfaff.
Second Place ribbons were awarded to Katie Strom, Tyler Caster, Mira Gill, Shelby Bowman, Marianna Rojas, Jacob Parris, Chantel Smith, Jonathan Herinckx, Ashley Esch, Riley Fischer, Taylor Van Gordon, Austin Kreft, and Kathryn Asher.
Third Place ribbons went to: Daniel Wakeland,, Jenna Curfman, Kyle Gates, MacKenzie Price, Spencer Dean, Mark Wakeland, Tayler Olsen, Diana Dunham and Jimmy Hays.
“Best of Show” award was given to only the top few students. Heritage was pleased to bring home “Best of Show” for the following 5 students: 2nd Grade – Ilena Levitt and Hayden Pfaff, 3rd grade – Renee Crick, 5th grade – Jacob Sturtevant, and 6th grade – Ryan Pfaff.
Heritage Christian School Students participated in the State Level Competition for National History Days on April 14 in Salem, Oregon. The following FIVE students have qualified for the National History Days competition in Maryland this June 2007. Congratulations to these fine Historians!
