As the Director of Development, Mike brings a wealth of experience in both non-profit and for-profit development. From 1997 through 2003, Mr. Stice was the first Executive Director of Northwest Christian Community Foundation. His responsibilities included establishing and developing relationships with high net worth individuals and providing support as they determined their passion and direction for charitable giving. Operationally, he filled critical staff positions, worked directly with the President and the Board of Directors as they surpassed their organizational goals. It’s interesting to note that the first Donor Advised Fund established within the foundation was created to support the building of a new Christ-centered Christian School. During his tenure, Mr. Stice increased the foundation’s charitable contributions from zero to nearly 13 million dollars and distributed over half of those funds to various faith based organizations.
In 1992, Mike opened a new franchise market in the Northwest. As a multi-unit franchisee, he designed and implemented a “fast track” business growth plan which was replicated by the franchisor at a national level and at one time, Mike owned and operated thirteen franchise units employing nearly one hundred employees.
Prior to 1992, Mike worked for fifteen years in the insurance industry. As the Regional Director for Cincinnati Life Insurance Company, Mr. Stice was responsible for managing the sales operations in Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
Mike and his wife Verla live in Lake Oswego. They have five adult children and as grandparents, are very proud of their eight grandchildren.
