His hobbies include any and all things sports-related. He enjoys playing, coaching, and watching sports. Mr. Gill was greatly influenced by his mentor, P.E teacher and coach Rick Landry while growing up in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. He models his coaching style after the same noble Christian example he encountered.
Mr. Gill says he has always desired to be a Physical Education teacher and credits God with leading him to Heritage. “I believe God led me to Heritage. I was seeking a teaching position but I had a job that offered great benefits. When my second child was born my wife said I should take a leap of faith, quit my job and start subbing in order to get my foot in the educational door. We sat down together and prayed about it and I gave my two weeks notice. Exactly one week later, Marva Adams told my wife that a new school, Heritage Christian, was looking to hire a PE teacher. From the first interview I knew this was where I wanted to be. It may be difficult for some to understand why I would give up income and benefits to teach PE. For me, teaching here is more than just a job. Anyone who observes my interaction with students can see my passion. The fact that Heritage is a Classical Christian school just makes the experience even better. It sets the standards much higher than any other school."
