Hal Ueland Chemistry, Physics, Precalculus, and Calculus
Hal and his wife live in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, in White Salmon, Washington. They have two boys, Dane, a sophomore at Whitworth College in Spokane and Kent, a junior at Hood River Valley High School. Mr. Ueland has been teaching for the last eight years, before which he was an electrical engineer for several companies. Mr. Ueland’s wife is an artist who licenses her work (see julieueland.com). He loves most sports and is a history buff. One topic that will really delight Mr. Ueland is discussion about old school baseball. In his own words, Mr. Ueland states “I’m really in hog heaven in old-school baseball conversations.” The Ueland’s are active in the Baptist church in Hood River.
Mr. Ueland applied to Heritage more than a year ago and has felt blessed that a position finally opened up. A fond remembrance is when he was in a position coaching against the Knight Soccer team several years ago. His distinctly remembers the character of the Heritage players as genuine and living what they represent. Mr. Ueland loves it here, both students and staff.
