After moving to the United States from Russia three years ago, Alicia Davis began teaching under the Classical Christian model. She teaches Latin to our 3rd-8th graders and Spanish at the Rhetoric level. Her credentials include certification as an ACSI Educator and completion of Linguistics and TESOL courses. She has taught English abroad, in both Italy and Russia, and holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree. A Navy Veteran, Alicia is known for her sense of adventure—she’ll consider traveling anywhere simply for the experience. Although she is not a mother herself, Alicia is committed to the 100+ young people she teaches as if they were her own. When referring to her decision to settle down and teach in one place, Alicia comments: “I believe that God had to awaken me from my gallivanting about the world by giving me this teaching ‘assignment’. The Lord has made me responsible for all these little souls. He has caused me to see good things in myself because of the good things that I can do for others! Gloria Deo!!! (Glory to God) Gratias Deo!! (Thanks be to God) Deus Regat!!!! (Let God rule)”
