At Heritage Christian School, in the process of educating our students, we think purposefully:
HCS provides an opportunity for students to become spiritually and intellectually disciplined, transformed by God and prepared to impact their world for Christ.
We believe that education is a significant way to serve God’s greater glory. As we enter our 10th year, our goal of teaching students to properly use the tools of learning remains the same and we ask ourselves three questions in light of this goal:
1. What will our children know?
Will they know anything that matters?
2. What will our children be prepared to do?
Will they be prepared to lead or to follow?
3. For whom will our children be equipped to live?
Will it be for themselves, or for others?
Our teaching methods are Classical and based on a proven model of education called the Trivium. By mastering the tools of learning, Heritage students will be equipped for life as thinkers and learners.
The Trivium divides the school career into three stages according to the way children naturally develop. The three stages are Grammar, Dialectic (Logic), and Rhetoric. Heritage Christian is accredited 6-12 by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and is a member of the Association of Classical and Christian Schools (ACCS). We are also pleased to announce the recent accreditation we have attained with NAAS (Northwest Association of Accredited Schools).
Our commitment to excellence can be seen in our academics and co-curricular activities, which are designed to build strength of character, discipline, and a love for all that is good, true and beautiful. Our mission is focused on cultivating young people who are intellectual, open-minded, spiritual, loving, and committed to doing what is right.
We invite you to learn more about the school as you explore our website. We also encourage you to visit the campus in person when you can.
